The Pescador Pro 10 from Perception has gotten a fresh new update and has tons of fishing features that even hardcore kayak fishers are looking for.  This boat is ready to take on anything you can throw at it and then some.  Here’s our Pescador Pro 10 review.

Upgraded from the previous version, the Pescador is ready to take on your next fishing challenge and give you the confidence and convenience to go beyond your usual hunting grounds.

It is a great improvement over the old Pescador.

One of biggest overhauls that the Pescador sees is the introduction of the stadium-style seat system, the old seat had people asking for more comfort and Perception heard them.

This new seating area features two different positions, upright and recline and can be removed for easy cleaning.  The Pro Seat can also move forward and back to dial in the fit for any sized paddler.

The Pescador has storage handled too. The stern features two different storage areas, a 5-inch dry well and a mesh covered above deck option too.

The rear has a scupper-drained storage area with bungees so you can tether down your gear or remove it and throw in your crate or cooler and carry it along.

The center console on the Pescador Pro combines functionality and fishing into a single piece.  Built to accept depth or fish finders, room for a tackle box, and with a cup holder Perception nailed this all important area so that when you head out you’ll have all the room you need for all your gear.

What People Are Saying

For a fishing vessel the Pescador has a lot people pretty impressed. “For a 10′-6″ kayak at 30.5″ wide, it handled pretty awesome”, the wide hull design is meant to maintain stability for when you’re landing fishing or sight casting into the reeds and with it’s deep hull it will track well too.

They are awesome. And they are light enough to toss around without worrying.

For a short yak, it tracks and paddles well. Good maneuverability, very stable.

What We Think

Our Pescador Pro 10 review revealed quite a bit more than we expected out of this reasonably priced kayak.  It’s build quality is comparable to kayaks priced well above itself, it’s got great features that come in super handy on the water, and fishing took a lead in the design.

Coming in at $729 the Pescador Pro isn’t cheap but it’s not designed to be either.  The only thing that would be nice to see is a center mounted rod holder mounted to the console other than that the Pescador can’t be beat.

With fishing capabilities and a bomber design the Perception Pescador Pro 10 is great boat for a great price.
