Quality, high performance, and versatile are what comes to mind when we started looking at the Tako. If you’re looking for a quality board that anyone in the boat can ride then look no further.
Compression edge technology gives superior strength and durability so that no matter how many times it’s in and out of the water it’ll still be holding strong way into the future. Incorporated STEPtech technology quickly releases water flowing under the board making the Tako a really quick board by increasing down line speed.
Compression molding makes for an exceptionally strong board and also adds in speed. This thing is flat out fast and nimble.
The incorporation of STEPtech comes from it’s use in the high performance Inland Surfer Sweet Spot. What this does is allow for water traveling under the board to release giving you extra pop when you’re sending aerials or shove its off the wake.
Most traditional wakesurf board bottoms are single plane convex designs which when on the water can increase the surface tension and make the board grab more.

The core of the board is something that really sets this wakesurfer apart. Traditional foam core are nice and light but they can lack in the durability department.
Inland Surfer’s Woodloc construction uses inlaid wood laminates in the top and bottom of the board to increase board strength, rigidity, durability and performance.
The Tako can handle riders over 200 pounds if you’ve got a medium to large wake and surfers as young as 12 have had success surfing it.
There are reports of people going without the rope within 3 days of surfing making it a great choice looking to progress their skills quickly. As you move into a more intermediate rider the Tako will be right there beside you allowing you to perform more advanced moves and tricks.

The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that Inland Surfer is a boutique brand and the price reflects it. There are definitely cheaper boards available but not to the quality that the Tako and Inland Surfer are using.
